How to make homemade Takis

Set a baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). To make the seasoning mix, combine hot sauce, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, lime juice, and salt in a small bowl. Adjust the heat level to your preferred level.

Cut the corn tortillas into the correct shapes, such as triangles or strips. As they bake, make sure they retain their crunchy texture. After transferring to a bowl, add the vegetable oil and stir to coat everything evenly.

Soak tortilla strips in spice mixture, making sure to coat each strip thoroughly. Place without overlapping in a single layer on the baking sheet.

Be cautious not to burn the tortilla strips while you cook them in the oven for ten to fifteen minutes, or until they are crisp and golden. When they are finished, remove the Takis-like strips and let them cool somewhat before serving.
